Cottages

All of our cottages are well furnished and fully equipped, including TV, DVD player, WiFi, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, BBQ as well as lots of other items to make your stay more comfortable.  

Our three three-bed cottages each sleep up to eight people, with master, double and children’s bedrooms and our two-bed cottage sleeps up to six people, with a master and a children’s room.  Each master bedroom has a king-size bed and all children’s bedrooms comprise two single beds and one set of bunk beds.  In addition, there is space in each bedroom for a travel cot, if required.  

Farmhouse

This lovely old farmhouse sleeps up to eight, plus cot, and comprises a large kitchen / dining room with a table comfortably seating eight, a range cooker and a wood burning stove for cosy spring and autumn evenings.

For those who are less able to cope with stairs, Well Cottage is ideal as it has both a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom including a walk-in shower.

Between the Farmhouse and Well Cottage, there is an interconnecting door which can be unlocked, for larger groups of family or friends.

Well Cottage

Well Cottage is one end of our typical Charentais farmhouse and, as the name suggests, is adjacent to secure, former well which belongs to the commune of La Bigorre.

All bed linen is provided, along with bath and hand towels.  We can also provide beach towels for those travelling by air and restricted on luggage space.

The Stables

Originally part of this working farm, the Stables housed horses and latterly cattle.  The conversion has created a spacious, open plan cottage.

Please note that for the safety and comfort of all our visitors our properties are all non-smoking (but feel free to smoke on your terrace).  

Dogs may be welcomed by prior agreement outside peak school holiday periods.

The Grange was the last building to be converted at La Bigorre and there are beautiful beams and exposed brickwork throughout.

Just back from our second holiday at La Bigorre and another total success. Lovely surroundings, really well equipped cottage and complex with loads to do for kids whilst the grown ups take it easy. We borrowed bikes and explored the quiet country lanes and also had some wonderful days out at the coast. Thank you to Paula, Rob and family for being the perfect hosts.

We have stayed here both with and without kids and it was great both times, the place is totally setup for families with monitors, stair gates and plentiful toys, games and dvds to keep the little ones entertained for hours. The local area has plenty to offer as well with beaches and little villages and even cities to choose from. The accommodation itself is very good, comfy and spacious.
